Here is a short 2 minute video with Jim Hugenin that explains what "Python on .NET" is and why it such a cool implimentation of Python. There is some talk about Visual Studio integration to come. Now that may be something cool to use with high school courses. I'm a big believer in using the Visual Studio environment to allow students to try multiple languages in a single IDE.
More and current information about Iron Python can be found at the getdotnet IronPython workspace.

Brian Scarbeau is now looking to get some corporate sponsorship for his idea of a Computer Science Education Day. He's also set up a web site for the project at his school. One of the initial things he has at this website is a guest book for people to tell their stories of meeting Grace Hopper whose birthday has been selected as the date for Computer Science Education Day. If you had a chance to meet this amazing woman drop by and add your story. Brian will be adding more content as time goes on. I'm sure he'd welcom suggestions and help as well.
If you are a teacher take a look and get involved in setting up something at your school for next winter. If you are in industry visit Brian's blog and think about how your company might support this effort. I really believe that the industry will benifit by bringing computer science education some attention and recognition.
