Have a great app idea but can’t make it to any in-person hackathons?  Well, you’re in luck!  My colleague, Matt Harrington, is running an online hackathon.

What exactly is a hackathon?
According to Wikipedia, “a hackathon (also known as a hack day, hackfest or codefest) is an event in which computer programmers and others in the field of software development, like graphic designers, interface designers and project managers, collaborate intensively on software-related projects.”
It’s an opportunity to get creative, potentially collaborate, and build something great.

I’m new to Windows 8.  How do I get started?
Register at Generation App for day-by-day support on building an app in 30 days.

Great!  Where do I sign up for the hackathon and find out more?
