Update Feb 2010: Seems that the link for the CHM files have moved to: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/magazine/ee412244.aspx
eek! Ugh, my subscription ran out. Ok, so I haven’t been paying for this in forever…just stealing a copy from work but they seem to have stopped showing up. Help!
Wow, that was quick. I didn’t realize this but you can download the latest issue (and back issues up to Jan 2003) of MSDN Magazine in HTML Help format (chm). Neat. The wife will enjoy not having to see the stack of MSDNs “cluttering the home”.
P.S. You’ll need to do the unblock mojo they describe as part of the link above to see the help files. Don’t forget about the Official MSDN Magazine Blog.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Allan, thank you for this link. I love being able to recycle all my old MSDN magazines that I have been saving to hopefully read some day or skim through to find that solution to a problem... Now I can download these and put them on my laptop. Does Microsoft Desktop Search index the CHM files? That would be cool, so I don't even have to open them, just use search...
Hi Allan,
I knew of the site to download the CHM files, but MSFT seams to have pulled the site from the main MSDN Magazine site. Do you know anything about that?
Also the last available download is for June 2009...
Meile thanks for reading. The MSDN magazine archive has moved to msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/magazine/ee412244.aspx
