eek! UPDATE: March 11, 2009. We will be postponing this talk until April. If you'd like to learn what Microsoft has planned for Business Applications and Silverlight, wait for MIX :) or watch Brad Abrams drop major hints.

If you are in the area, join me at the TechMaine Rich Internet Applications User Group on March 12, from 6:00-8:00 pm. What are we chatting about?

Building Rich Internet Applications (and boring Line of Business Applications) with Microsoft Silverlight

In this demo-filled session we'll explore Silverlight as a platform for building Rich Internet Applications. Silverlight is Microsoft's RIA platform that recently powered the Olympics, the US Presidential Inauguration and will be powering CBS's March Madness. We'll review the design (as in designers) and development (as in .NET developers) aspects of Silverlight, the anatomy of how things are packaged together and how to get started. And yes, we'll see how folks are building "boring" line of business applications with Silverlight and some of the planned enhancements coming for Silverlight in the near future. If you are new to Silverlight, are already a RIA developer or have some burning questions about it, then this session is for you.

P.S. We'll show how to get started building Silverlight Applications in Eclipse, but please don't tell my employer.

You’ll need to register, the meeting is free!
