PowerShell to the People – Join Us!

eek! UPDATE: March 11, 2009 - Here are the resources from the session. Ever wondered what it would be like to be able to reuse your .NET skills to do just about anything? Well, seems a bit far fetched, but Windows PowerShell makes it possible to dream big :) We are on at 6-8 pm US Eastern time on March 10, 2009 in Connecticut (click the link for details on directions, etc.). This is a free event.

A Tour of Windows PowerShell for the .NET Developer

Windows PowerShell is built on the .NET Framework (yes, it is going to be very familiar to you) and is an extensible system automation platform available on all current Windows Operating Systems (including the betas of Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2). It is used to automate and run Windows, Exchange, SQL and IIS 7 and is a required component for shipping software at Microsoft. In this demo intensive session, we will review the anatomy of Windows PowerShell and explore how you can extend the environment with your .NET development skills. We'll use the new GUI interface that is part of PowerShell 2 and along the way we'll do some stupid dev tricks with PowerShell + Windows Azure, WPF, and more. This session is for developers, system administrators and folks interested in mind expansion :)

See you there! For folks who cannot make this but want to jump into Windows PowerShell, I stumbled upon this very cool opportunity to attend a session virtually from a Windows PowerShell MVP. The event is on March 11, 2009 and is open to all!

Nah, just give me some Windows PowerShell resources. Here you go…

PowerShell to the People, right on!
