Well, what a week! I spent most of my time on the BPIO booth. Here are some notes:

  •  I noticed quite a few questions and confusion about Office Deployment, so I will cover that on this blog in more detail
  • Some of the UC stuff coming out with Office Communications Server 2007 (OCS) is pretty hot. On the booth we had some awesome VOIP phones and a RoundTable set up. If the RoundTable is really going to take off in the business world, it needs some EyeToy like features, or at least the ability to draw moustaches on other participants faces... Everybody loves gadgets, so here are some (tiny) pictures:

  • It is great to hear that a lot of people are starting to use OpenXML in their apps. Awesome!
  • There seemed to be a bit of confusion about the many flavours of SharePoint. How does WSS relate to MOSS relate to SharePoint for Search relate to InfoPath Forms Server relate to Excel Server? All will be revealed in an upcoming post
  • Nobody was interested in Curling (well, someone was).

This post is cross posted on Alistair's WSS 3.0 powered blog and his MSDN blog.
