Geocollaboration: cool features of Live Search Maps

Geocollaboration: cool features of Live Search Maps

Okay, okay, I promised Geocollaboration, part 2 - but you'll have to wait a little longer. I want to show off some of my favourite features of Live Search Maps.

Satellite Images are all well and good if you are orbiting the planet - but often we want a closer view. Virtual Earth does some funky photosynthing or something, to overlay crystal clear aerial photographs over the top of the satellite imagery. Obviously there is not aerial photographs of everywhere (yet). But in places of high interest, like central London, there are plenty. Before (oh, and note the landmarks rendered in 3d):

After:

Some cool Bird's Eye enabled locations:

Central London - lots of white squares!

Microsoft Campus - lots of 3d boxes, like the whole thing was built in 8-bit.

New York - very pointy

... and many others. If you find some you think are cool, let me know!
