As of the 1st of February, life support for Netscape Navigator will be turned off. I remember using Netscape for the first time in 1995 - after that I never used a BBS again. Then it started to cost actual real money (at a time where we were paying five dollars an hour for internet).
The big lizard still lives on in Firefox, which avoids a similar fate by being free. Still, lots of happy memories from Netscape and it now joins the Amiga, C64, amstrad and word perfect in the computer history books.
