Should this be three posts? Probably – but here are some things that have caught my eye lately…

What I find interesting about this video is that there is a lot of talk and excitement over the little things in Office – better looking presentations and reports and strong user adoption to take advantage of new features such as Smart Art and conditional formatting.
Commonwealth Bank of Australia - Office 2007 Video Case Study (Sorry, no platybank in this one).
What I find interesting in this case study is not so much the “Oh, yeah – we deployed Office and we love it” but the “Here are the tools we used to make it really easy to do and to make the benefits last”.
For greater collaboration and productivity, leading architecture firm HOK implemented the 2007 Microsoft Office release and deployed the company intranet on Office SharePoint Server 2007. To deliver the benefits of the software in the most efficient manner, the firm began using the Home Use Program, Training Vouchers, and Microsoft E-Learning benefits available through the Microsoft Software Assurance program. Today, HOK IT professionals and other employees are enjoying greater opportunities for learning the software, and the company is better prepared for future deployments. As an Office guy, I found this talk by Stephen Elop (President of Microsoft Business Division – the people that bring you Office, SharePoint, Exchange and other stuff you like) really fascinating.
