One of the great programs being lead by our MACH hires and Interns this year is Microsoft Protege – a competition for undergraduate students to pitch their ideas for student marketing. As a former MACH (well, you can graduate, but you can never really leave Smile) and current Office guy, I was asked to share my thoughts on Office 2010 and the Protégé competition:

This sort of thing is what I love about the MACH and internship programs at Microsoft – it is not a coffee fetching grad role – you get thrown into the deep end and own real projects that matter to our users.

Good luck to everyone entering the Protégé competition (deadline for submissions is the 23rd of May)!
