It’s been just about a couple of months since PowerPivot was available for customers, and the customer feedback has surpassed our already high expectations! In case you’re just starting out, you can review the PowerPivot overview article. 

If you’re like some of us that usually learn best by reading a book, your options are growing:

  1. The recently released “Professional Microsoft PowerPivot for Excel and SharePoint ” is worth checking out. Written by a folks from the SQL Server team, this book gives a good overview of PowerPivot for Excel and PowerPivot for SharePoint.
  2. A couple of our MVPs are writing the forthcoming  “Microsoft PowerPivot for Excel 2010: Give Your Data Meaning”. Having witnessed some discussions they’re having about the scenarios, this will be an excellent resource.
  3. MrExcel, an MVP as well, has pen’d “PowerPivot for the Data Analyst: Microsoft Excel 2010 (MrExcel Library)”.

One of the most gratifying part of releasing software is seeing a passionate community build around it and support each other. For questions on PowerPivot, you can use the PowerPivot For Excel forum or the one for PowerPivot for SharePoint.
