Some searchs failed to discover the correct URL for the MetaWeblogAPI on blogs.msdn.com easily, hence this post. The correct url is:
blogs.msdn.com/metablog.ashx
There are a slew of great posting tools to choose from these days:
Performancing
Flock
Word 12
OneNote 12
I wish the OneNote -> MSDN Blogs api could carry ink doodles, but it looks like we're not quite there yet. Category support works great though. Integrated
image upload
to Flickr using the Flock client is a minimum step work around.
Alas, none of these clients have a simple, killer posting feature that I debuted in a entirely client based blog publishing system (blozom) back in 02-03. In the hyperlink dialogue, I offered easy access to a web search API result set for quick link lookup. Facilitating good hypertext should be a key advantage of a thicker than web form posting technology.
