There is an amazing amount of Buzz lately around the Microsoft Windows //Build conference. It sold out in record time and as you’ve probably heard me say, I don’t get free tickets that I can share either. Cause let’s be honest, if I did, I’d be at the conference right now! Smile So if like me, you were totally bummed to be missing the conference and learning about Windows 8, the future of desktop development, and a bunch of stuff that I probably can’t really talk about until next week, then join us in Chicago for a live streaming event.

In conjunction with ITA/TechNexus, my good friends at Centare (they now have an office in Chicago!!) will be hosting an event on Tuesday and Wednesday, September 13th and 14th, at 11:00am-1:30pm to watch the //BUILD keynotes live.  W00T!! Timing may seem odd, but keep in mind they are on PST and so 2 hours ahead of us… So take a nice long lunch, head on over to 200 South Wacker Drive, check in with security (an ID of some kind may be required), take the elevator up to the 15th floor, and join us!  Lunch is being provided and there will be lots of fun SWAG!

I’d love to claim credit for this but it was totally all Eric Boyd’s doing. You don’t know him? Really?! Because you should, he’s freaking brilliant. Go read his blog RIGHT NOW, and then come to the event so you can meet him.  Lastly, please, PLEASE register.  There is very limited seating, so we want to make sure we’re not breaking any fire safety ordinances.  And in case you’ve been living under a rock, and don’t know what the //build conference is – honestly I don’t think we can be friends anymore if this applies to you* – here is some background:
