That took bizzarely long... Kyle Orton finally got drafted by the Bears. Surprisingly, the guy to make a comment on Orton being drafted by the Bears, was their offensive co-ordinator, Ron Turner, who'd coached the Illini right up till last season. I suppose Ron remembers being torched by Orton and the Boilermakers in last year's game? ;)

I'll be interested to see how Aaron Rodgers deals with the sub-zero temperatures in Green Bay. While I'm extremely happy for Rodgers, since he'll be mentored by one of the best in the world, Favre, is this a clear hint for Favre? I'm also shocked that the 49ers think that they need a better quarterback as opposed to a better offensive line, and some players who can catch the ball, umm, what do we call those guys, thats right - WIDE RECEIVERS! Why not pick Braylon Edwards?

In any case, I'm happy for Orton. Brady was a 6th round pick, and today he rules the universe. I think Orton can definitely beat out the other lingering QBs at Chicago for the #1 position. And the weather should be no surprise to him...

PS: Does ANYONE know where Vinny Sutherland is?
