James often sends me links to interesting articles - this is one such piece about the investor community and Web 2.0 start ups. There certainly are a lot of them - have a look at this directory.

Talking of finance, the guys at smartfundit.com are doing very well - this article highlights how they can help ISV's and solution providers with cashflow by financing the end-user deal - sometimes providing an alternative to seed funding for smaller providers and start-ups.

One great example of a Brit Web 2.0 start-up that is attracting lots of interest currently from VC's is Mydeo - apparently not a "GooTube wannabe" - read Sam Sethi's comments here. I had the pleasure of spending some time with Cary Marsh this week (see below). They have some great things in the pipeline - not least a conversation with BT. We're launching the new Applications Marketplace with then end of April. More on that soon.

Another of James's links took me here and to the some special edition news! Happy April Fool's Day.
