Hello there! My name is Arvind Shyamsundar. I work as a Senior Program Manager with the Microsoft SQL Server Customer Advisory (SQLCAT) team, based in Redmond, WA.
Follow me on Twitter or read my complete bio on LinkedIn.
My day job involves making customers successful fine adopting the latest SQL Server versions (both on-premises and the Azure SQL DB) to meet their end business goals. I have been in the industry for over 16 years now and my biggest joy is to share my learning and experience with the community.
I am also a Microsoft Certified Master: SQL Server 2008, an accomplishment I am very proud of.
My current technology focus areas include SQL Server 2016, T-SQL anti-patterns, and fine tuning high-end systems for best performance with SQL Server.
I'm also a big fan of analytics and apply BI technology to domains like Aviation and Sports Analytics.
This blog is shaped based on questions we get which have no readily documented answers - that is why it is called Esoteric :-)
