Hey there, nice post!

I have similar problem, but im my case the registry entry is correctly pointing to %systemroot%\system32\jsproxy.dll ...

Still, the IE8 does *not* look at the proxy.pac file, but it has been downloaded to the client.

Any help on this?

I was having the same issue stated here: not browsing externally (although on Firefox the PAC script was working).

Checked the registry key, and it was OK.

The only way to make it work is to turn off Protected Mode of Internet Explorer 8 in Internet Zone.

Is there any other way to keep PAC script working while keeping protected mode on (I have UAC on Vista enabled as well)?
