Hey, I just noticed that the first phase of the VS 2005 July Community Technology Preview (CTP) is available on the MSDN subscriber download site.  Unfortunately, it looks like downloads for non-subscribers won't be available until phase 2.  Here is the wording from the subscriber download page:

The Visual Studio 2005 July Community Technology Previews will be delivered in three phases during the month of July:

• Drop 1: Visual Studio 2005 Standard Edition, Visual Studio 2005 Premier Partner Edition, and the Visual Studio 2005 SDK for use with Drop 1 and Drop 2
• Drop 2: Visual Studio 2005 Professional Edition, Visual Studio 2005 Express Editions, Visual SourceSafe 2005, and Visual Studio 2005 Tools for the Microsoft Office System
• Drop 3: Visual Studio 2005 Team Suite, Visual Studio 2005 Team Foundation Server, and the Visual Studio 2005 SDK for use with Drop 3

It looks like the Express editions in drop 2 will be available for free download, but the others will be in the subscriber section only.

The site http://channel9.msdn.com/ctpmadness/ has also been updated to provide a quick way to check compatibility issues between SQL 2005 builds and VS 2005 July CTP builds.
