We have posted the 5536.16385 build of the Windows Media Center SDK for Windows Vista on the Microsoft Connect site today.  I posted this item on the Media Center Sandbox blog with a list of some of the changes that you'll notice between the previous SDK build (5472.5) and this new build.  I encourage you to check out that post for more information, and if you're a member of the Windows Vista beta program, please download this new SDK build and let us know what you think.

  • Hi Aaron,

Thanks for getting the 5472.5 build of the Windows Media Center SDK for Windows Vista onto MSDN Subscriber downloads. Unfortunately one of the aspects of Media Center I'm looking to manipulate in code is the management of Playlists, and this remains undocumented in build 5472.5. Is this addressed in the enhanced documentation in 5536.16385 or is there a forthcoming 5600 build which will be made more publicly available that contains it?

Otherwise, can you point me at any code samples that show the use of Playlists?

    Thanks.
  • Hi Geraintj - I'm sorry, but I'm not familiar with playlist-related programming for Windows Media Center.  I would suggest directing this type of question to the Media Center Sandbox discussion forum at http://discuss.mediacentersandbox.com.  I'm sorry I'm not able to be more helpful here.
