The Installed value is protected by the OS and you won't be able to change it if it is incorrect. If that ends up being the case on your system, I'd suggest trying the manual install steps at http://blogs.msdn.com/astebner/archive/2006/05/22/604380.aspx to see if they help work around this.

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Media Center]

Ident = 3.0 or 3.1

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\WPA\MediaCenter]

Installed = 1

Can you please double check that you have both of those settings on your computer?

I haven't heard of issue 1 before, but I'm not super familiar with EPGRunner so it is possible that it is a side effect of using that. Does it work to just delete the scheduled recordings that you don't want?

For issue 2, I know that there are tweaks for My DVDs, but I haven't tried them myself. I would suggest searching on some of the Media Center forums for advice on how best to handle that scenario.
