&lt;p&gt;I am unable to install the .Net Framework 3.5 SP1 from the Windows Update as well as from the Manual Download. It fails with the -2147549183 (from the dd_dotnetfx35install.txt). I am using a Windows Vista Basic with SP1 Preloaded.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Please let me know what can be done to fix the issue.&lt;/p&gt;
