If you add the folder you put the assembly in, VS will pick up the file from there instead of the default path. Hope that helps!&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;You instruct us to reference the new dll, not replace the old ones, however if we do so then VS2010RC simply ignores the path we specify and uses the file in C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SDKs\Silverlight\v3.0\Libraries\Client anyway&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Some guidance would be great.&lt;/p&gt;
