Join our Windows Phone Government Application Competition and compete for fame, glory and extensive PR! Not to mention Mozart devices plus flights, accommodation and tickets for two to Microsoft’s premier developer conference in the USA!
Spotlight on Windows Phone is an Australian initiative for developing Windows Phone applications that deliver solutions for government-to-government and government-to-citizen interaction. This year the finalists will get to present their applications at the Tech.Ed 2011 Conference on the Gold Coast in September.
The Spotlight Program is the perfect launch-pad for your application, providing exposure to Microsoft, the government and the industry. Submission Round 1 is now open online for developers to submit their government application concept. Up to ten submissions will be chosen to go through to our Semifinal Round where they will receive professional development training with Built to Roam’s Nick Randolph. At the end of this period you will be asked to present your solution along with a working demonstration of your application. Successful finalists will be provided with a mentor from our Spotlight Team here at Microsoft to help them prepare for the final showcase at Tech.Ed 2011. The application can be suitable for local, state or federal government in Australia. If you have an idea ready to rumble you can submit it here. Submission Round 1 closes on 7 June 2011 at 11:59PM (EST).
