At last months meeting, Daniel Colarossi showed us how we could use the Microsoft Virtual Earth technology from within SharePoint.  This was an excellent session and provided some great insite into what can be achievable with SharePoint to deliver excellent looking solutions.  We also said that this month he an I would create a Basic Web Part and put this up on my blog (www.codejedi.net).  I have created article 1 of 2 articles about the Virtual Earth web parts, which can be found here.
