Meanwhile a large change in features improvement was seen at the time only when Microsoft windows moved from xp to vista . then Microsoft has done poor works just developed WIN 7 with few features improvement only because vista has failed gaining popularity on pcs . Now same *** for windows 8

Microsoft should take a look at apple and their improvements for Mac OS X. take look at here is an application program made my Samsung www.samsung.com/.../pcsw

which does same work as a macs airdrop does en.wikipedia.org/.../AirDrop_%28OS_X%29

So Microsoft should take the copyright`s or source code or logic behind the useful apps made by their partner O E M like HP ,DELL , Samsung, Acer , and much more and invent them to windows 8 . then windows may have great value and popularity over Mac or Linux

Is a nice day to speak to you, and first off all, respect for your efforts.

But , there is a small problem i noticed from first few minutes after installing Developer Preview.

There is not anymore the famous "X" to close apps, we are forced to close by task manager.

Yes, yes i know , is not the final release, as well. But this made bad impression :/.

I like anyway the personalized Blue Screen " :( Sorry there was an error", but this doesn't mean we forget about having to close Metro apps by task manager.

I really hope , as any consumer , that this little discomfort will dissapear.

re: Best place to discuss Windows 8

Hello!

The Developer Preview is very good!

BUT I think its better to split up Metro UI from the normal Desktop mode. The Metro UI is only for Tablets.

When you think on Tablets: The Metro UI is very touch friendly, but sometimes you have to go back to Desktop Mode and then you have problems on touch.

Its better when Metro is a own system (Only for tablets).

re: Best place to discuss Windows 8

Also include in the visual style the Start button image and the backward/forward buttons of Windows Explorer!!!!

Almost 50% of Windoww users have to "patch" and replace somesystem files to do this. This sucks!!!

We want the Start menu from Windows 7!

Now we turn the Metro interface off by renaming C:\Windows\System32\shsxs.dll to "shsxs.old.dll". After reboot It removes the Metro interface completely. Also it BRINGS BACK the Start menu and it DOESN'T remove Ribbon, new Copy/Paste interface and other new features of Windows 8.

Developers! Please make a legal way to do this! Please don't force us to hack the OS!
