Well, we had another successful night with the SQL Server Users Group here in Salt Lake City.  The nights speaker was Joe Celko and the topic was Advanced SQL Programming.  It was an interesting talk and was definitely centered around a lot of theory and mathematics.  He went over Logarithms, etc for figuring out trees and stuff.  It was really not for the faint of heart, but was good.

While I was there, I just had to get him to autograph his book “SQL for Smarties”, and he did.  My roots go back to SQL Server and having been in SQL Server Support I am still very much a data guy.  Now I do a lot of Web and Database, so I get both.
