If you missed the BIG announcement, Soma announced during the keynote at TechEd Barcelona that we will release Visual Studio 2008 and the .NET Framework 3.5 by the end of November 2007! Yeeehaaa! I'm so exited to get the final version of VS into all of your hands.
Enjoy!
Good News for us all on the release. Your videos had help me a lot to discover how to develop desktop application because am used to developing web application. I will appreciate if u can develop a video on how to handle exception and dealing with summing up column total and using datatable and datagridview.
Hi Lookman,
Take a look at this video. It shows how to sum up a DataTable column in a DataGridView using LINQ: http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/vbasic/bb737877.aspx
To do it in VS 2005, take a look at ADO.NET Column expressions: http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms810291.aspx

I hope there is a visual designer for SharePoint / MOSS 2007 web parts developed in .NET 3.x. Another wish, a flag to force Dispose() and set object == null when out of scope, or at least a way to force SQL connections to close and free all resources including TCP/IP network sockets when the SQL connection object goes out of scope (not at some unknown later time when disposed by the GC).
i like u and your Video Series
you are so great
