Hospitality Technology Magazine reports that Domino's Pizza ranked No. 1 in online ordering sales in the first quarter 2009 with a 28 percent share. In the past 24 months, Domino's jumped from an 11 percent share to a 28 percent share. In CY2008, Domino’s generated roughly $500M in online revenue and look for that channel to generate around $1B through CY2010. This accomplishment is even more impressive when you understand that Domino’s had no real online ordering solution as of 2005 and took their first online order in 2007. So they’ve come a long way in a relatively short time.
In addition to leading in online ordering, Domino’s is now tops in customer satisfaction according to the annual Customer Satisfaction Index, coming in just ahead of both Starbucks and Wendy’s.
Now if only they could come out with some quality pizza.
They're obviously doing something right.
