Regarding your question for generating Release Notes, as Brian Harry suggested, it should be easy to add a new field using process editor. Additionally, I think you might would like to have a look at tfschangelog.codeplex.com

This application allows users to automate generating release notes on demand and from command prompt. At this stage, this application is tested against TFS 2010 and soon we will test it against TFS 2011 as well.

TFSChangeLog is designed to work against any type of work item and because it supports XSLT 2.0, users can easily translate output from XML into HTML (or other formats). Thus they can apply their filters and styles to generate well formatted release notes.

Hope this helps.

Best Regards,

Dharmesh Shah.

Why is it possible to create folders for work items and not build??? If the workflow is an improvement I will stick with MSBuild project for as long as possible. I am not a MS basher but sometime I wonder why you guys don't see these things...

In TFS 11 Beta we are adding support for unattended build (controllers & agents) for on-premise TFS servers (but not Hosted TFS).

We don't have any docs available yet, but we will try to get a blog post (or similar) out in the Beta timeframe.

Can you please advise to what detail the unattended install will be supported?

- Does it also cover configuring the build and test controllers and agents?

- Does it cover configuring against the TfsPreview server?

- Is it included in the developer preview or do I need to wait for a later release for it?

- Are there any details on how to perform unattended setups? E.g. sample XML files or something?

Thanks very much,
