While the alerts editor lets me have it email someone else, the alert is still "mine" not "theirs" or am I missing something?

I'm glad it's added to tfs 11, but that requires us to upgrade our tfs and of course the little problem of it not being released yet...

Yes, you can do it in the Power Tools alerts editor and that capability has been integrated into TFS 11.

Hi,I met a problem when I experiment "Restoring TFS Server",I followed the instructions of your article"Backing up and Restoring your TFS Server" (ie"blogs.msdn.com/.../backing-up-and-restoring-your-tfs-server.aspx").It turned out that I restored the sql data into TFS Server B from TFS Server A ,when I looked into the B's sql instance with sql 2008 management studio. But finally the are errors "Error1:The restore operation for database WSS_Config failed. Please refer to the logs for more information ;Error2:The restore operation for database WSS_Content failed. Please refer to the logs for more information ",and the log read "[Error @02:50:49.980] Microsoft.SqlServer.Management.Common.ConnectionFailureException: 无法连接到服务器/cann't connect to server tfs。 ---> System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Login failed for user 'PCITC\tfssetup'." I don't know how to deal with this problem ,and look forward to your reply ,thank u sincerely.

I'm trying to install this on my 64-bit development machine, and I get the following error: You are attempting to run the 32-bit installer on a 64-bit version of Windows. Please install the 64-bit version of TortoiseSVN instead.

There seems to be a problem with the installer.

Allen, thanks for the feedback. We try to do some of both but I appreciate the feedback. Yes, I'm referring to Brian Keller's work. I'd love to hear more about what the shortcomings of it are.

Andy, Well not all of the Power Tools can be installed that way. For example, the Windows Shell Extensions need significant Windows integration. We're working on making the install more seamless though. We recently removed the requirement to uninstall the previous version.

On September, 23, 2011 you have posted in your blog an alert for to uncheck the Sharepoint checkbox in the TFS Backup Power Tool. I´d like to know if it was fixed on the lasted release of TFS Power Tool (December, 15. 2011 - version 10.0.41206.0).

Is there any reason why the TFS Power Tools is not a Click-Once installer that automatically updates with the latest release version? We have to build new Developer WorkStation Software Images and every time we turn around we find someone in one of our branch offices still using a version of the TFS Power Tools that's 2-3 releases behind. Please fix this...and get to an easy, automatic, way to update the TFS Power Tools.
