Robert, This came to our attention just a week or so ago and we investigated whether or not there was a reasonable way to fix it before TFS 2012 ships and, unfortunately, there was not. We'll definitely look at improving it as soon as we can.

I wanted to drop a comment about the install process. The install fails if it 'thinks' you don't have a gig of RAM on the server. The problem is, if you are running in hyper-v and have dynamic memory set up, it is just failing since the minimum is set to 512, even though the max is set to eleventy billion. Kind of a pain having to shut the machine down, reconfigure it and bring it all back up.

For all of the haters on the new checkin window, while I think it needs some work, I have to give props for getting away from the existing modals, I hate modals more than anything.

You are correct it isn't available today. You could do something whacky like change the dates on you sprints to make "today" in another sprint, but I wouldn't recommend it. It's definitely a feature we've been looking at though.

Brian, Yes we want to be able to change which sprint the taskboard is showing. Am I correct this isnt available today?

I am in the process of performing an upgrade from TFS 11 Beta to TFS 2012 RC.

According to your blog comments, all that is needed is uninstall tfs 11 and install tfs 2012 rc.

I have full feature set enabled in TFS 11 (Sharepoint Farm, SSRS, Lab Management, Build/Test Controllers) etc.

Do I need to reconfigure all of this using one of the 2012 wizards? If so, which one (advanced, upgrade)? If upgrade, then do I need to backup any of the data tier, and if so what and how? Etc. etc.

Please can you point me in the direction of a step by step guide for upgrading?

@Adam, After my harsh Pending Changes window review I do want to help give props to the Dark Theme. I've been running the "Elite Dark" theme in VS 10 since the Theme Editor extension came out. When Beta VS 11 came out I copied the Fonts and Colors settings from the VS 11 Dark theme over to VS 10 so I could get used to it and I actually like it much more than having a white text editor with black font. I like having a dark IDE and even have my windows colors set to black with transparencies off so the entire screen is black-ish except for the code. I just hope a Theme editor is made for VS 11 so we can tweak it a bit here and there as we could with VS 10

LMFAO, The Dark Theme is absolutely horrendous. Worst. Theme. EVER.
