We haven't moved to TFS Service we have an in house TFS Server. Would love to have rename Team Projects. Keep up the good feature work for developers.

This doesn't affect on premises TFS.

For those with internal TFS servers does this allow us to change the URL of our server more easily? Is Team Project project rename going to be possible?

Saw this in my RSS reader and thought it was team project rename....but it isn't. This helps for the service which is nice. So it helps us get closer to being able to rename team projects, right?

Christopher, yes, we designed the system to allow that an we think, at some point in the future, we will enable it. It's not super high on the backlog right now though.

That's a nice to have ! On the same registry, do you plan to allow cnames ? (ie use http://tfs.mycompany.com with tfs service ?)

Support enabled this for me the other day, before general release to rename my work based account for TFSPreview to a personal one. It worked perfectly.
