Digigirlz Tech Camp: Baltimore 2011 - bob's blog - Site Home

Ed Donahue has a great write up on the DigiGirlz event recently held in Baltimore. along with Lindsay Lindstrom and Donna Woodall, Ed welcomed 43 high school girls for the first ever Baltimore DigiGirlz Tech Camp.

DigiGirlz is a national Microsoft initiative that gives girls an opportunity to learn about Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) based careers through workshops and lectures.

The hands-on part of the tech camp was a team project that tied together both the Imagine Cup and Kodu Cup.

Teams were asked to create a game using Kodu (a free visual programming language) that helped promote one of the United Nations Millennium Development Goals.
