I wasn&amp;#39;t able to remove AD from my 2008 R2 server because of that same error message. I added the computer$ account into that Default Domain Controller Policy and suddenly it worked. If it wasn&amp;#39;t for this post, I&amp;#39;d still be banging my head against the desk.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;If you are using this to help roll your own, then STATISTICS_NORECOMPUTE = ON &amp;nbsp;should also be STATISTICS_NORECOMPUTE = OFF in nearly all cases as turning off stats updates &amp;nbsp;is very much an &lt;/p&gt;
