ILOG has teamed with one of the Microsoft Technology Centers to test the performance of the ILOG Rules Execution Server for .Net running on both Windows Server 2008 and Windows Server 2003.  The tests covered both horizontal and vertical scalability models, with the goal of test the overall performance and reliability of RES.NET on the current Microsoft platforms.

One interesting result of the test was a finding that performance was better on a single 64 bit server running Windows Server 2008 than on a cluster of 32 bit servers running Windows Server 2003.  A white paper explaining the methodology and results can be found here: http://blogs.ilog.com/brmsdocs/2008/09/26/ilog-rules-for-net-30-performance-analysis/
