In the past we have published a few Channel 9 videos and screencasts featuring Visual Studio Team Edition for Database Professionals (aka "DBPro"), but one of the common questions which still comes up is related to how a team should incorporate DBPro within their application development processes. For this interview I asked Sachin Rekhi to explain in detail what we mean by the "offline database development" paradigm and how DBPro supports this development paradigm.
Click here for Sachin's video. For other Channel 9 videos featuring DBPro and the rest of the Visual Studio Team System family of products check out the VSTS Tag Center on Channel 9. Be sure to explore the "Screencasts" section in the lower-right for some good feature-driven DBPro demonstrations.
PS: Sachin recently left Microsoft to pursue his dreams of launching a start-up. Check out Anywhere.FM to see what he's up to.
In this video Lenny Fenster, a consultant with Microsoft Consulting Services and one of our esteemed Visual Studio Team System "Rangers," shows off the Team Foundation Server / Project Server Connector which was recently released. This is a great way of enabling projects managed in Project Server 2007 to collect roll-up data from development projects stored in Team Foundation Server 2005 and vice-versa. Click here for the video. Enjoy!

Gert Drapers and I recently sat down to film a Channel 9 interview showcasing the new Service Release and Power Tools for Visual Studio Team Edition for Database Professionals. You can watch the interview here. I suggest viewing the .WMV via the "Download" link for optimal screen real estate. Enjoy!
Hot off the presses... one of the most common requests we get from customers adopting Visual Studio Team System is for more guidance. The patterns & practices team has delivered once again. From J.D.'s blog post:
Today we release the final version of our patterns & practices: Team Development with Visual Studio Team Foundation Server. It's our Microsoft playbook for Team Foundation Server. It shows you how to make the most of the Team Foundation Server. It's a compendium of proven practices, product team recommendations, and insights from the field.
It's nearly 500 pages long so think twice before you send it to the printer, but there's a lot of really great guidance in here which I think will address the vast majority of questions I get every day from customers.
