Pleased to announce the arrival of Service Pack 2 (SP2) for Project 2010, Project Server 2010 and SharePoint Server 2010.  Full details over on the Project Support blog at Project 2010 and Project Server 2010 Service Pack 2 (SP2) Released

The SharePoint Server 2010 SP2 also includes the Project Server 2010 SP2 *** Update - Looking at the file sizes and descriptions - I suspect the note on the Project Server SP2 KB article is incorrect and should read that 2687452 Includes 2687453 - and not the other way around - so if you have SharePoint and Project Server you just need the Project Server 2010 SP2 - 2687452 *** – and a full list of updates in Excel format can be downloaded from this link Microsoft Office and SharePoint 2010 SP2 change list.  These contain all the fixes from June 2011 Cumulative update through to the May 2013 Public Update, as well as extra unreleased fixes which include improvements in stability, performance and security.

  • Hi Brian,

We're in the process of applying this, but when i saw CU July 10 2013 support2.microsoft.com/default.aspx its requirement is SP1? How come this is not included in SP2? Will this be part of SP3? or do i need to install this first before applying Sp2?

    Thanks

    Rupert

  • Hi Rupert, SP2 was in preparation for some time - so we do not include extra things at the last minute - which would have been the case with the July CU fixes.  The fixes will be included in the next service pack if and when that is produced.

    Best regards,

    Brian.
