I've flown down to Denver, Colorado this week to work the booths and do a few presentations here at PASS, the Professional Association of SQL Server. This is a community group, so as a Microsoft employee I'm a guest at this function. I've mentioned before that Microsoft is very big on having us interact with customers, which is different than some companies I've worked at. In fact, I have a friend at another technical company (whose name you would recognize) where they tell their technical people to "stay away from customers who can't figure out how to turn an i-pod on. Let the marketing people handle that." Quite the attitude, I think,
Anyway, I'm excited to be able to talk to so many technical professionals who use our product every day. I'll let you know how it goes today.
