If your company uses laptops (and of course they do) make sure that the data on them is secure, especially if you're using replication in SQL Server to store data on them. Here at Microsoft I use Vista on my laptop with Bitlocker - a free, easy-to-use solution keeps my data on the hard drive encrypted untill I supply the right password.
Whatever you use, secure your assets. If you don't think you have time, think about the personal data (yours included) that will hit the web if you don't, and think of all that great news coverage for your company when that laptop gets lost or stolen!
great Bitlocker drive encryption overview available at http://windowshelp.microsoft.com/Windows/en-GB/Help/6035e2fd-ee50-4b74-9bfb-6c27bb6bf2201033.mspx
does Bitlocker affect the performance of the laptops at all?
