Ya están disponibles para su descarga las actualizaciones de August 2011 de SharePoint 2010

(RECORDAD INSTALAR ANTES EL SP1)
Si teneis SPS 2010 sólo debeis instalar el relativo a SPS 2010 ya que incluye el de Foundation.
Tras instalar las actualizaciones se deberá ejecutar el Asistente de Configuración en cada servidor de la granja.

After installing the updated you should run the SharePoint Config Wizard in every server of the farm.
If SPS 2010 installed you must only install the SPS 2010 CU because it includes the Foundation one.

SE HA DETECTADO UN PROBLEMA EN ESTE CU QUE HACE QUE NO SE INSTALE SOBRE EL SP3 DE MOSS 2007. SE ESTA TRABAJANDO EN UN FIX. PERDONAD LAS MOLESTIAS
Ya se ha arreglado el problema, han sido relanzados los paquetes y ya instalan sobre SP3

Ya están disponibles para su descarga las actualizaciones de Octubre 2011 de SharePoint de 2007.
SharePoint 2007 (Build 12.0.6654.5000)
Aviso! Esta actualización no se instalará si no se encuentra instalado ya el SP2 en el entorno.
El orden, como siempre, será instalar primero las actualizaciones de WSS 3.0, y posteriormente las de MOSS 2007.
Tras instalar las actualizaciones se deberá ejecutar el Asistente de Configuración en cada servidor de la granja o “psconfig –cmd upgrade –inplace b2b -wait”

After you install this hotfix, you must restart the User Profile Synchronization Service for profile synchronization to function correctly.
To work around this issue, follow these steps:
1.Visit Central Administration. 2.Click Manage Services on the System Settings section. 3.Find User Profile Synchronization Service in the list of services and then click Stop if its status is Started. Click Start and provide the credentials to start the User Profile Synchronization Service as soon as its status is Stopped.
For more information, see the Start the User Profile Synchronization service section in the Configure profile synchronization article in the library.
SharePoint 2007 (Build 12.0.6676.5000)
Warning! This update will be only install if SP3 is installed in the environment.
Please, keep in mind that you must install them in the following order first WSS 3.0, and later MOSS 2007.
After installing the updates you must execute the SharePoint configuration wizard in each of the servers of the farm or execute “psconfig –cmd upgrade –inplace b2b -wait” on a cmd.

It has been detected a bug documentation on Software boundaries and limits for SharePoint 2013 http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc262787.aspx for Spanish, Italian and French languages, among others languages except English.
The bug is concerning the Web Applciation section that does not reflect that SharePoint 2013 supports farms of 20 Web Application or less.
Now, the bug is on fix process.
BTW, the documentation on English prevails over the other languages.

Hace poco algunas de mis VMs estaban quedandose sin espacio. Como no, cuando eche un ojo a C:\windows\installer y a c:\windows\winsxs eran enormes. Estos directorios son usados por el sistema y no se pueden borrar pero usando la herramienta DISM que trae el sistema operativo se puede al menos borrar los archivos de back-up generados por la instalación de un Service Pack en Windows 7 SP1 o Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1
Este es un ejemplo de mi entorno de Windwos 7 SP1
Sólo hay que ejecutar DISM /online /Cleanup-Image /SpSuperseded y liberarás algo de espacio.

Hoy es el día del tan esparado nuevo re-branding del DashBoard de X-BOX Live en XBOX 360. En palabras de Don Mattrick ,presidente de Entretenimiento de Microsoft:
"Comienza una nueva era de entretenimiento juegos, peliculas, programas de TV, música y deportes todo en uno".
Sin duda, echando un ojo al siguiente infografico sobre la evolución de la TV y Entretenimiento en EE. UU. nos da una visión de como han evolucionado estos dos negocios y su convergencia.
Sin embargo, después de reflexionar sobre el pasado ahora es tiempo del presente y futuro. Desde hoy las nuevas características de X-BOX live gold son:
Una muy buena noticia para todos nosotros como "consoleros".

Some days ago I was in touch with somebody from MSFT United States who developed a Windows Phone app to follow the Office Product Group blogs. Some colleagues and I told him that it could be great if he can spread the availability to the world instead to US only. Now it's the day.
The app it's called after Office Blogs and it's RSS viewer that allows you to browse the content by product on Windows Phone 7.

El proceso de instalación como sabéis siempre es primero Foundation y luego Server. No obstante haremos pruebas para corroborar que no ha cambiado.

- SharePoint 2010 SP1 + CU and onwards.
- SharePoint 2013 RTM and onwards.
Not supported:
- Fast Server over SPS 2010
- WSS 3.0, MOSS 2007
