I am signing the extension and the error behavior is the same if i am debugging it or install it.

GetProperties method in the TypeConverter class is the one which provides with the correct PropertyDescriptor to use. Now during debugging i found out that this method does not get called unless I create a new UseCase and assign my stereotype to it(even this does not work every-time) but when it does get called everything works as expected.

re: Custom Profile Properties

Try signing your extension and let me know if that solves it. I believe VS is trying to load your custom type descriptor but unable for security reasons. But again, let me know.

I have one serious problem which I am not able to resolve. Maybe you'll be able to help me out.

- My extension does not 'Bootstrap' on its own & gives "Value cannot be null. Parameter name: type" error instead. Let me explain it in detail. I created an extension to give rich-text capability to my stereotype for UseCases. Now every time I open the solution after installing the extension i get the above mentioned error. Randomly i was able to get away with this problem by creating a new UseCase and assigning my stereotype to it. if successful i get the previously saved values in old UseCases too. but neither i am able to successfully bootstrap the extension every time nor am i able to find out why is it happening. Any help is appreciated.

thanks

re: Custom Profile Properties

That's great!
