On Mondy, March 17th, the adCenter Community portal went live, and with it the adCenter API page. As the business owner of the API program here at Microsoft, I am very excited to have this community site finally completed so that we can better communicate with our customers, and open a dialog on the topics that matter most to them. I hope to lend my voice to the ongoing conversation from time to time, sharing my business and operations perspective.

Some of the faces you'll see in the Community:

  • Jeff Dillon, Technical Support Engineer
The entire Support TSE team is active in the community and on other forums, but Jeff has made it one of his goals in life to be on top of every comment, every question, and every issue that makes itself known on the new community portal. I joke that Jeff had his smartphone surgically attached to his head, because the man responds to email at unreasonable hours. A great person to have on our side.
  • Walter Poupore, Technical Editor
Walter leads a team of writers and editors working in the Microsoft Digital Advertising Services space, and spends much of his free time dreaming of all things API (this is my assumption). If you're looking for the latest technical documentation or code amples, Walter's your guy. Although I'm going to try and get him to spice up his community picture (Walter, look at the great backgound behind Strohm's photo as inspiration!)
  • Chris Norred, Community Program Manager
And finally, the man who brought us our new API Community portal, Chris Norred. I had the pleasure of sitting in on the interview loop for Chris, and strongly recommended him for the position -- and he has been a vocal member of the API v-team. He has a background in journalism, and understands what it takes to build and grow an online community, namely good content and relevant events. Look for Chris in future LiveMeeting sessions to introduce people to the community, and to share new API features and plans.

And that's my introductory post.
