Hi - my name is Jean-Luc David. I joined Microsoft a little over a month ago in the role of Developer Advisor. Prior to teaming up with Microsoft, I was an independent consultant for 11 years, focused on Web and software development. I've also written four books for WROX/Wiley Publishing - Professional Javascript 2nd Edition, Professional WinFX Beta, Professional Visual Studio 2005 Team System and Professional Team Foundation Server (which will come out in the October-November timeframe).

I'm really passionate about software development and the developer community here in Canada. I am currently working on a series of podcasts and will be blogging a lot on this particular site. In a couple of weeks, I'll be speaking at the Montreal Code Camp. Also, don't be surprised if you see my face pop up at user group meetings around Toronto.

Now that I've introduced myself - I'd like to know more about you. Don't be shy to respond to this blog post telling us who you are and what you are working on. Have you developed a cool, innovative or interesting .NET app that you are especially proud of? Are you trying to start up a user group or community? Or do you just want to connect to your peers and get involved in user groups or speaking? Let us know.
