In case you hadn’t yet heard, Walter Mossberg, head tech journo for the Wall Street Journal gave Windows 7 a positive review. His bottom line:
Windows 7 is a very good, versatile operating system that should help Microsoft bury the memory of Vista and make PC users happy.
You can either read his article, or if you prefer, watch his video review:
As I’ve said before, I’ve been working exclusively in Windows 7 since late last year, first with the beta, then the release candidate and now on the RTM (Release to Manufacturing) version. I’ve used it for all sorts of things, such as:
…and they’ve worked quite well, even with the beta version. I’ve talked to people who got their hands on the beta and RC versions and their experience has by and large been the same: it works with the software, and the user experience it provides is quite enjoyable.

Joey:
I've been using Windows 7 for some months now as well and I'm very pleased with it. Of course, I'm one of those people who was very please with Vista as well!
In the past months though, I have only one complaint, and I suppose it came back into focus after reading this blog.
The uninstall/reinstall process for Windows Live applications is horrible on Windows 7. I think I've received almost every kind of error with this. From long-ago-uninstalled apps being listed as installed during the Live setup (preventing me from installing it again of course), to weird error codes insisting that something else is preventing it from installing successfully (Live Writer has been doing this to me for months).
And I, being totally in love with the Live Writer, am quite frustrated with this.
So,... thanks for letting me rant. I supposed I could have summed this up by saying, "Windows 7 is rocking my world... but Oh!.. i so do miss my Live Writer..". =(
