Last week I shared here on the Developer Connection that I've started on this adventure of blogging 30 days in a row, all with the intent of giving you, the readers, exercises in the neighborhood of 10-15 minutes a day. It's shaping up to be a good introductory lesson plan that you can consume at your own pace.
So far in the series I've shown some of what can be done when you pair things from both camps together. A little bit of MVC and a little bit of Bootstrap can give you a very rich UX. There have been some bigger examples of everything working together, then some background minutia to help fill in the blanks. In the last 7 days I've covered forms, Create actions, basic model binding, TempData and Bootstrap alerts.
We're over halfway through the month and still going strong! Over the next 7 days I'm going to demonstrate novel ways to augment your site and leverage Bootstrap to it's fullest extent. Of course, we'll also zero in on the oft-overlooked features of the MVC Framework as well.
Here are the posts from the last seven days:
If you’re the type that likes a more course like structure to learning, there are a few courses on Microsoft Virtual Academy that cover MVC. You can check them out here:
If there’s anything specific that you want to know about and/or want me to cover, let me know! Comment below, tweet (mention me, @CanadianJames), comment on Facebook, or start a new conversation on LinkedIn.
Until next week, happy coding! Happy learning!
I love this tutorial! :) I wonder if this is still ongoing.
Thanks for the comment! You can always follow along on my blog where I completed the series and continue to post. I have also published a book based on the blog series, which you can also find at http://jameschambers.com. Cheers!
