In case you haven’t heard the buzz, Silverlight 2 was made available this week for download with some major upgrades.

microsoft_silverlight_cIf you recall, we used Silverlight 1 video hosting to power our SBSC Ramp-Up/Accelerate Tour videos. In the future, we'll now be able to take advantage of new features like progressive and adaptive streaming to deliver on-demand video content even better.

“We launched Silverlight just over a year ago, and already one in four consumers worldwide has access to a computer with Silverlight already installed,” said Scott Guthrie, corporate vice president of the .NET Developer Division at Microsoft.

You can download it now at the Silverlight website and also read an interesting ITWorldCanada article.
