When our Canadian Partner Marketing team set out for our annual round of Secret Santa, we had an amazing suggestion come in for a small change to the age-old tradition. Why buy gifts for one another that we might not even end up using, when we can add in a splash of creativity and good?
So instead, this year we challenged ourselves as Secret Santa’s to find a gift that our lucky recipient would’ve enjoyed as a child themselves. The end result…
… we collected more than 20 dolls, trucks, sports gear, lego sets, and other toys that were donated to the Salvation Army Women’s Shelter! And we had a blast guessing what toys were for who along the way!
Then we took all of the furniture from the SBSC Lounge at the Technology Partner Tour over the past couple of months, along with other donated items, and held a company-wide silent auction to raise an additional $1200!
That’s our team (me in the back, middle). We’re really happy that we were able to do our small part as a team at Microsoft Canada, and I encourage all of you in our community to challenge yourselves to do yours.
