It is the same as bug trap. You can contact your Technical Account Manager at Microsoft to see if it is still supported.

In fact, I modified the original blog to recommend using another Microsoft internal tool – Perfman instead. Please see the above for details.

In case you have Columbo tool and it works on your device, you can use the following steps to preserve RIL Proxy Log on device:
1. Set up Columbo which is a Microsoft internal tool. After it is done, a magnifying glass icon should be shown on the system tray of Today page.
2. Copy pRegEdit.exe from desktop to the device. pRegEdit.exe is an internal tool for editing registry on device. You can use any other tools with the similar function.
3. Run pRegEdit.exe on the device to open registry, and add DWORD RILProxyLogNormal = 1 and RILProxyLogDetail = 1 under HKLM\Software\Microsoft\RIL\.
4. Warm reboot your device.
5. Run your RIL related tests.
6. Tap the magnifying glass icon shown on the system tray of Today page, and enter comments describing what you were doing and what the bug was.
7. The log files are under My Device->BugTrap. These .BTR files can be opened with Notepad. Copy the .BTR files to desktop and concatenate them into one log file if needed. Or you can get the log file from Columbo server if applicable.

[Yibin Tai]

re: RIL Proxy Logging --- The Most Important Debugging Tool for Investigating Radio and RIL Issues

Where can I get Columbo log from?
