Web 2.0. Seriously? Give it a rest. The hype is retarded in our industry. We have ridiculous notions of mash-ups and other gimmacks driving a new "wave" of digital BS. If you step back and look at what Ajax offers and you've written alot of code through out the years you should be yawning! O boy, the web is just now catching up with what other platforms (ie traditional rich clients) have always had, let's kick back and watch the stocks go up..There's nothing wrong with the ideas comming out, it just doesn't justify the hype in my mind.
Whatever
I think what we are recognizing is not the individual capabilities of Web 2.0 (those have been around for years), but the wide-spread use of those capabilities (never been done).
What really is occuring is that everyone has access to this, and we will start to see new paradigm's emerging from the wide-spread use.
Web 2.0 isnt about technologies, but about the use of those technologies.
Cheers.
