This has definitely been the hot topic for the week! -Over 4 questions in the last 5 days!
The last customer I met with had a very rich UI, all the data already located in SQL, and the .NET framework already on the client machines but was still looking at going to ASP.NET due to staged upgrades they needed to go through. –aghhhh I am so glad I met with them!
I showed them clickonce deployment and they were so happy! -& particularly pleased that this would help them meet their ship date in late Feb – Doh!!! Not exactly a suitable timeframe for a .NET Framework 2.0 application!
Thankfully unknown to many much of the clickonce functionality was shipped in Microsoft .NET Framework 1.0 and 1.1 typically referred to as: Zero Deployment or Href to Exe. So what are they going to do?
Good luck on those Upgrades!
